The Prairie Valley Family YMCA is a non profit organization, open to all who seek a healthy spirit, mind, and body. We are dedicated through our core values of Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility, to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
YMCA Code of Conduct
The YMCA is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests. To promote safety and comfort for all, the YMCA asks individuals to act appropriately at all times when they are in YMCA facilities or participating in YMCA programs. We expect persons using the YMCA to behave in a mature and responsible way and to respect the rights and dignity of others. The YMCA code of conduct does not permit language or any action that can hurt another person. Specifically this includes:

Wearing inappropriate attire

Angry or vulgar language including swearing, name-calling, or shouting

Physical contact with another person in any angry or threatening way

Demonstration of sexual activity or sexual contact with another person

Harassment or intimidation by words, gestures, body language or any other menacing behavior

Theft or behavior that results in the destruction of property

Carrying or concealing any weapons, devices or objects that may be used as weapons

Using or possessing illegal chemicals or alcohol on YMCA property, in YMCA vehicles or at YMCA-sponsored programs

And any other conduct of an inappropriate, threatening, or offensive nature.
Any failure to abide by this code of conduct can result in termination of membership or guest privileges.
General Policies

For members safety and security, picture taking and cell phones are not to be used in locker rooms, pool, or Wellness Center.

Children 13 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian after 6:30 pm while in the YMCA.

Children ages 5 or older need to use appropriate locker rooms.

Please remember to lock up your valuables or leave your valuables at home while participating in YMCA activities. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

Membership and program fees are not refundable unless class is cancelled by the YMCA. Any type of credit must be approved from the director of that particular department.
